My hood is still in progress. I have some neighborhood decorating and some lot sprucing to do but all in good time. Its a slow process mostly because I rather play with my Sims than make it look pretty around them. Heredon Cove is broken down into mini neighborhoods and the buildings follow suit, lame yes but it amuses me to do so.
Here is an overview to show that its a legit cove. Its an older shot though, I’ve done a lot of rearranging and decorating since I took this shot.
Warehouse District: This used to be home to Heredon Cove’s many fishing and textile factories but as times modernized its been converted into art district. The Warehouse District is home to a modern art gallery, a jazz lounge, gentleman’s club and many other distractions for the yuppies that live in this section. The Wright family and Samuel Heredon currently live in this area
Historic Downtown: This is the upper echelon of Heredon Cove work and play, sporting most of the oldest building on the cove is home to only the wealthiest. The Warehouse District contains the public library, the medical center, the museum, the courthouse and several other destinations for rich and often famous.
Ocean Estates: In the old days this used to be several small beach houses all lined up in a row however in the 1950’s a wealthy real estate mogul came on the scene and bought the stretch of beach. He demolished the smaller beach houses and made four large estates in hopes of selling them. They currently stand empty but hopefully someone will come along and buy at least one.
Cedar Court: This is the largest neighborhood on Herdon Cove boasting a mix middle level to lower income homes. It also contains a bowling alley, thrift store, the town cemetery, the orphanage, the public schools and a host of other things. The Valdez family currently lives in this neighborhood.
Colonial Fields: This used to be a much larger section but was downsized as the farm land was needed for other uses. It now mostly contains the Old Heredon farming lands, the farmer’s market, the organic restaurant and some of the lowest income houses the cove has. The Heredon families, the Behar family and the Lemieux family currently live in this section.
The Hill: All the way up on the mountain, the Hill is home to the poverty stricken. Like all cities, the cove is home to those who don’t want to better themselves but want to enjoy the hedonistic life. Containing a strip club and illicit game hall, the Hill will gives those looking for adventure the time of their lives.
Note: I have a bit more work to do on the hood but that will come as I get the incentive to do it. I don’t have a downtown or any other subhoods besides two universities and I don’t plan to. I like having everything all together and the absence of excessive load screens make me happy. I plan on doing this sort of tour when I get to my universities and vacation hoods but all in good time.
The Warehouse District is filled with the Factory Living set by Nengi65 and every other ode to it
Ocean Estates has lots from both MTS2 and AnnoSims
Colonial Fields’ small houses are Plasticbox’s Newbie Road
I’ll try to remember some more and add to this post later.
